It has been proven that CO2 acts as a greenhouse gas, and that the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere has increased in the last 100 years and the climate has become warmer. But without CO2 things would also not be going well, as we need CO2 to live.
In just 2 minutes the Professor and the Entertainer show, through a rapid sequence of experiments, what can be achieved with CO2.
How does it work?
CO2 becomes steamy in its solid form. The dry ice produces fog when in water. It can smother flames and act as a fire extinguisher. With a water bubbler, water can be coloured by CO2. It changes colour because of the acidity of the CO2.
Safety Tips
A pressurised CO2 canister is used. This is placed in a designated stand and cannot fall over.
