The simplest motor in the world

To build a working motor, four components need to be put together as shown in the photo below.

How does it work?
There is an electric current flowing through the magnet of just over 1 Amp. The current crosses the magnetic field inside the magnet almost perpendicularly, producing the so-called Lorentz force. This force acts at right angles to both the current and to the magnetic field, making the motor rotate.
