A wire filament is connected between two electrical contacts. After a countdown a loud bang is heard. The wire flashes extremely bright and then disappears.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The device contains capacitors that store a large amount of electric charge. Within a split second this electric charge passes through the wire with a current of approximately 10,000 Amperes. This enormous current heats the wire very intensely, so much so that it evaporates and, through the expansion of the gases surrounding it, creates a loud bang.
