A thermal imaging camera makes infrared light visible for humans. Snakes have infrared receptors to allow them to sense their prey in the dark.
Image 1)
A guest “hides” themselves under a big black bin liner. He is asked to wave and pull a few funny faces. With the infrared camera it is possible to see through the bin liner, and all the actions of the guest will be visible to the audience. But if they hold a glass vase in front of their face, the infrared camera will NOT be able to see through it.

With coolant spray the guest can easily “paint” a picture on their clothes or a point on their head.

If you stretch an elastic band, it becomes warmer. When it is released and is no longer stretched, it cools down again. This can be clearly shown with the Infrared camera. Interestingly this experiment works best with condoms.
